This will actually be a two part book review for two books of the same series!
Neverland Evermore By Sarah J. Pepper
Captain James It’s her mouth-that infuriating, unbecoming mouth of hers that I can’t Goddamn stand. Miss Bell twists words around, manipulating them to be suit her needs. She provokes me. Purposely. It sets my blood on fire. I can’t stand to be around her, and yet I can’t damn well think straight when she’s gone. And those sassy lips-Christ, I can’t very well behave like a captain when she licks them, giving me the once over. Bloody hell. She’ll be my undoing. I know it. She knows it and doesn’t deny it either.Miss BellThe cheeky bastard. I know better than to fall for men like him-a captain with wildly inappropriate intentions at best. But I can’t help myself. Created from evil, I lure abhorrent men to Neverland, an island prison. And Captain James is as corrupt as pirates come. Yet, even as possessive, ruthless and dangerous as he proves time and again, I can’t imprison him. He’s awakened a desire in me-a desire untameable as the Seven Seas. What we have is dark, addictive and as flawed as each other, but being with him is the greatest adventure I’ve ever experienced. For once, I have a future worth fighting for and then a pathetic boy from my past strolls back into my life, threatening to destroy our twisted, perfect life.
Sarah J. Pepper took a children’s fairytale and pleasingly twisted it into a completely new story that in my opinion reminds adults where these stories came from but also makes them more adult orientated. Miss Pepper has this amazing ability to mold characters into ones that you would never imagine you could have loved in the first place.
This story follows Captain James Jones and the always spunky Miss Bell and their unlikely love story with a few appearances from a couple old favorite characters that I can guarantee you will love to hate!
This is a quick read and as a warning it does flip from time period to time period but I enjoyed this time jumping versus that of Girl on a Train. These characters were strongly developed and the story was so well thought out it’s so hard not to get excited over the next book in the series!

Forever Cursed By Sarah J. PEPPER
Peter may as well be imprisoned on Neverland with us for he consumes Miss Bell’s thoughts, stealing her away from me. His retaliation is a constant threat of which we cannot escape. Even so, that pathetic excuse of a man is the least of my worries. Corrupt and vile creatures rule this tiny spit of land, brought here by fairies, by Miss Bell.
Whether she admits it or not, she needs my protection. Yet, I catch her glancing at my severed arm with pity in her eyes. She thinks of me as weak, injured, and any number of inadequacies. Feck. I will not stand for it! I will protect her, even if it costs me my life.
Captain James makes no attempt to shield the darkness harbored in his eyes, like he wants me—needs me—to see what most people do. Ruthlessness. Turmoil. Devastation.
“Remember that the same hand I use to caress your delicate skin has been stained with the blood of my enemies,” he says, cupping my cheek. “Do not assume my affection for you is something others have experienced. Understood, Miss Bell?”
I understand. Hell, I am counting on it. Peter would rather see me dead than in the arms of another, and I have no intention of dying—especially not when Captain James makes me feel so alive.
Book two in the Never Ever series leaves nothing else to be desired except more from Sarah J. Pepper!
Now and then a romance novel catches my attention, not often, but it does happen. I think it’s those unlikely romances that snag me.
The love story that has been created between Tinkerbell and the Captain is a fine example. It’s never something i could have imagined but found myself loving it more and more as the pages turned and turned. These characters are so easily relatable that it’s easy to get sucked into the world of Neverland like never before. Just like it’s predecessor Forever Cursed grabs you in the beginning and shakes you to the very last page. I cried twice during this read! I look forward to more by Miss Pepper!
